seriously though as much as aftermath fics like this one upset me and make me question aspects of my beloved harry potter world that i’ve previous taken as just a facet of the story, i really enjoy reading them. because in getting to see different sides of the stories and reading different perspectives i’m reminded that this fictional universe will never get stale for me- i’m always going to be able to drop back in and discover more as time goes on. yeah, i’ll already read the books for the story and the magic and the quirks but as i get older i can also think critically about the books and oh my god i’m just so fucking greatful for everything this series has done and will do for me.
